Among the many names of Rudra or Shiva, "Pashupati" is the chief name of Shiva. The Rig Veda Samhita does not mention Rudra's Pashupati name, but in the Sukta (7.46.1-4) of the Rudra-related Basishta, the archer Rudra, who holds an invincible, sharp weapon, listens to our prayers. Don't make us suffer from diseases, O Rudra, the knower of thousands of medicines. Similarly, in Ruk (1.114) Sukta, the sage Kutsangiras praises Rudra and says: We praise the crowned Rudra, the lord of the great hero. May all the creatures of this village be strong with health, may the two-legged be happy. O Rudra. Have mercy, make me happy.

In all the religious texts of Hinduism, Lord Shiva is called Pashupatinath. In the Mahabharata, Lord Shiva's weapon is described as Pashupatastra. Arjuna, a character from the Mahabharata, had given Pashupatastra to make Kirantarupi Shiva happy by fighting in the Himalayas.

According to the mythology, after the battle of Mahabharata, the Pandavas killed Lord Krishna and V.He had asked what measures should be taken to get rid of the sin of genocide as his relatives had died in the war with him. The Pandavas went to the Himalayas to see Lord Shiva after learning that he would be freed from the sin of genocide. Seeing the arrival of the Pandavas, Lord Shiva disguised as a buffalo and hid in a herd of buffaloes. As the Pandavas approached to recognize and worship the buffalo-like Lord Shiva, the buffalo-like Shiva sank into the ground. Thus, after Shivaji fell to the ground when the Pandava touched the tail of the buffalo-like Shiva, Lord Kedarnath appeared in Kedarnath, while the head of the buffalo-shaped Shiva, Lord Pashupatinath, appeared in Nepal. Thus the Pandavas were freed from the sin of genocide by touching the tail of the animal Shiva. As he appeared in the form of an animal, Lord Shiva was called Pashupatinath.

According to another story, Lord Shiva took the form of a deer and roamed with Parvati in the mucous membrane forest. That is why Lord Shiva was called Pashupatinath.

mythology

1. According to a legend, Lord Shiva took the form of chinkara and sat in his sleep here. When the gods discovered him and tried to bring him back to Varanasi, he jumped on the other side of the river. It is said that during this time his horn was broken into four pieces. After this Lord Pashupati appeared here in the form of Chaturmukh Linga.

2. The second story is about a shepherd. It is said that this Shivling was discovered by a shepherd whose cow was anointed with his own milk and traced the location of the Shivling.

3. The third story is from a mythological story related to the state of Uttarakhand, India. According to this legend, this temple is related to the Kedarnath temple. It is said that when Shiva appeared in the form of a buffalo to the Pandavas at the time of their heavenly journey, which later entered the earth, Bhima caught their tail before being fully absorbed. The place where Bhima did this work is currently known as Kedarnath Dham. And the place where his face came out of the earth is called Pashupatinath. In the Puranas, this story is mentioned in detail by the name of Panch Kedar.

Welcome to the holy and divine days around Shivaratri. The last frosts of snow are now blowing in Nepal. The eyes of Hindus all over the world are now longing for the vision of Nepal's deity Pushpati. Older than history and the sacred sanctuary of spiritual power, the cave of the mucous forest, and the protection of Birupaksha, there is applause all around Pushpati. Today we want to explain why this form of Shiva is called Pashupati.
Among the many names of Shiva, Pashupati is the most popular and beautiful name. This means that the owner of the entire animal, the name Pashupati is a chapter in itself in which the owner of all the creatures of the world, the bearer of life, and the nurturer Pashupati is addressed in the form of Lord Shiva. We want to add a little bit to the bed, push on the bed means the creature that emphasizes the things outside of it. Animals are creatures that focus on things outside of themselves and determine perceptions accordingly. In this sense, the creature who looks inside himself and realizes his inner knowledge, devotion, devotion, and the truth is Pashupati in itself, that is, the lord of all animals, and this place is given to Lord Shiva.
Remember, Lord Shiva is the power of control and balance. He has the most power however he is simple and comfortable, he is the guardian of all however Shiva is always absorbed in penance. He is the giver of everything but he is engaged in hard work. Lord Shiva is the best example of self-control and balance. Shiva, therefore, is not the only one who is understood to be intoxicated. It is a shame to associate the path of Shiva with intoxication by adopting only one aspect of this control and balance of Shiva. Shiva is one of the elements of nature which has no definite equation. When drops of waterfall from the sky to the ground, there is no definite equation for the sounds of drops?
The interval of time and sound between two or more drops is different and special. Shiva is present in this uniqueness of nature. As a skilled leader, Shiva imparts every lesson and knowledge not by word of mouth but by his actions. Pashupati means the master, guardian, and father of all of us. We are the source of power arising from them, Shiva is power and Shiva is also compassion. Shiva is the beginning and the end of Shiva.
