Historical Background Of The School.

This school was established in the year 2028 B.S. during the monarchy. Currently, among the seven provinces of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, the capital district of Karnali Province is located in Ward No. 11 of Surkhet Bheriganga Municipality. Shree Shikhar Secondary School is a community school. Various courses in education, management and technical fields are being studied in this school from 1st to 12th standard. A three-year course in crop science has also been taught and conducted. This school is currently running various programs with the slogan of studying and earning. And we can see students working on how to become self-reliant to produce a skilled workforce. Similarly, this school has been conducting residential resource classes for visually impaired children since 2051. The various activities done by this school are very impressive. We can see that students come from Bheriwari and Bheripari and other areas in this school.

Geography Of School.

Shree Shikhar Secondary School Ramghat is a natural resource school. Looking at the location of this school, there are various settlements of Ramghat in the west, Jahare Melkuna in the east. To the north, Bherinadi is surrounded by areas like Dasarathpur, Dakshin Darf, Community Ban and Chhinchu. This school is located at 280 28'53''L latitude and 810 44'9''W longitude. This school is located at a height of about 1200 m above sea level and is situated in a very beautiful location. Although the environment of this school is rural, we can keep it easily.

Educational and physical condition of the school.

Looking at the educational condition of Shree Shikhar Secondary School Ramghat, we can put it as moderate. It seems that we have almost arranged the educational materials. We find that teachers have adopted different educational methods in their various activities. The physical condition of this school is good. We can see that the desks and benches are also good. But we can clearly see that this school has failed in some aspects. And seems reformed too. In this school, there is a small problem of clean drinking water. Although there is potable water, it seems to be a bit dirty. The buildings of this school are in good condition. There are about 9 buildings in this school. Almost all the buildings are constructed on two floors. A separate building for grades 11-12 has been constructed on the top floor of the middle building, which is allocated for administrative activities of grades 1-10. This school is spread over about 51 farms. There are about 5 canteens in this school and a canteen for snacks. According to all these details, it seems that they are trying to manage the students well. In this school, depending on the size of each room, there are about 12 to 15 benches in one. According to this calculation, there are about 72 to 90 students in class 6 to 10. There is one white word in each class. The size and type of the bench and the room are very good. Almost all of these items are already available. Technical materials also look almost as good. Creative activities have been done. Various student materials appear to be stored securely.

Present condition of the school.

There are currently around 1200 students in this school. Similarly, there are about 34 teachers for the said students. Classes with more students are divided into two parts. There are about 9 buildings of two floors in this school. One building is child-friendly. There are other buildings teaching large classes. In the same way, various activities related to school nurses and health are also done. Students are also given immediate first aid for injuries. Bench tables are available in each classroom. We can also see the white word. Currently, this school seems to be developing as a model school. We can see that there are separate toilets for teachers and students in this school.

Socio-cultural conditions.

Nepal is a culturally rich country. Various calculations have made that there are about 125 castes and 123 languages in this country. That is why our religion, culture and language are presented as a model for the world. Accordingly, the language, culture, and language are presented as models of the world. We should pay special attention to these things while studying and teaching in school. Their language should be pronounced with respect. In this school, due to the cultural situation, teaching is done from different castes. In particular, students of Brahmin, Kshetri, Thakuri, Sunar, Bishwakarma, and other castes came to study in this school. Therefore, due to the cultural situation, people of two religions were seen in this school, which are Hindus and Christians. Regardless of the linguistic situation, even though there are people from different castes and languages living in this school, Nepali language is spoken and understood by all. Therefore, the social and cultural conditions in this school can be said to be good.

Financial condition of the school.

This school is a school near the banks of Bherindi. There are many settlements around this school. The entire compound of this school has been secured by fencing. The area of this school is 51 ropani 4 bigha. We can also see that this school is doing various agricultural activities and production. When talking about the financial situation of this school, some teachers and teachers are also operated from private sources and municipal sources. Other teachers have come on permanent appointment. The source of income of this school is its own agricultural garden and the support of parents.

School conditions.

  • We see that some buildings of this school are dilapidated.
  • It seemed that there was no library in the school for easy study.
  • It is found that the number of students among the students in D.E.S. school is high but the number of teachers is very less compared to that.
  • These are the main problems in this school.

Details of school activities.

Extracurricular activities are regularly held every Friday in this school. In which activities such as kahilya race, kahilya bhaiwal, football, kapadi attendance and answer competition, poetry art, song, dance, literary activities such as poetry, ghazal and handicrafts, painting etc. are presented by the students according to their skills and abilities. And try to make yourself look better. Similarly, on that day and other days, they listen, read and watch the various activities in the curriculum. Cleaning the field daily according to the instructions of the teachers. We can see that the students have done discussions on sanitation and spreading public awareness. Vidya also encourages students who excel in extracurricular activities by giving prizes as a form of honor.

Current problems and challenges in schools.

Looking at the whole situation of this school, although there are no such big problems and challenges, there are problems in some educational materials and sports materials. We can see that it is not possible to meet the demands of the students. Another problem is that students make various excuses to go out of the compound and get lost there, playing carrom board. Also, the main challenge and problem in this school is that the teachers are inferior compared to the students. Here I have seen and met that one teacher has to accommodate around 80 students. It can be said that the rest is good even if other minor problems remain. Let's look at something intellectually.

  • There are some permanently appointed teachers in this school, there are some private sources and some teachers who are working on contract with the subsidy of the municipality. And there seems to be a need for more teachers.
  • Various organizations have been managing various educational materials for the students.

Conclusions and recommendations.

Sri Shikhar Secondary School was established in Ramghat in the year 2028. This school has come to this situation by facing various problems and challenges in different periods. The headmaster of this school is Janak Bahadur Singh and the chairman of the management committee of this school is Tikaram Subedi. On the whole, the situation of the school and the school seems to be fine. It's also a happy thing for everyone. I am happy that I was able to learn about many things while playing the role of a student and a teacher in this school. As there are both positive and negative comments in each area, it is not possible to say that everything is fine, but I have found that the main requirements are almost good. There are some bad aspects as well, if these things are resolved, nobody will stop this school from becoming a good and model school in this area one day. The cleanliness around the school is also good. Daily cleaning is also found. Some of my suggestions in this school are like this.

Due to the lack of teachers compared to the number of students in this school, it can be obtained from the municipality and other places. Some teachers should be added.

  1.  teachers must go to school classrooms continuously. And there is also a need to control the students.
  2. There is a need to emphasize extracurricular activities.
  3. It seems that students should be provided with clean water.
  4. Compared to female students, the toilets of male students seem to be very smelly, so it seems that they need to be constantly cleaned and sanitized.
  5. It looks like some of the benches are worn out and need to be replaced.
  6. Since there are up to 80 students in one class, it seems that they have to be divided into sections.
  7. These are some of the suggestions I have seen above.
